It is 3 pm somewhere, right? If you have seen Hirugao, I am sure you know what I mean. The Koreans aka Channel A decided to do a remake of Hirugao with the same title: Love Affairs in the Afternoon. Yup, a forbidden love drama that can be so romantic, so innocent, so naive yet so nerve-racking. I feel so nervous as if I am in this affairs with them as well. So far, 12 episodes have aired and I have been nervous watching it ever since especially episode 6, 7 and 8. I had to take a breather because my heart was palpitating so hard for them.
So, where do I begin? Two lost souls trapped in their marriage and day to day life found each other under weird circumstances. They are both lonely in their own fashion. Feelings starting to develop as they spend more time with each other. This is the story of Jung Woo and Ji Eun. On the other hand, and on to another affair, Soo Ah feels trapped in her own marriage and sought physical intimate to fill her soul. She later met Ha Yoon, her previous lover. Her husband began suspecting her.
Yes, this is Love Affairs in the Afternoon. Which affairs will survive? Which affairs will crumble? I don’t want to go any further – since I know the ending. But, I fear that the writer might go further and incorporates the movie part into this version. Eottoke? I have not seen the movie version and I fear how this version would turn out. As for acting-wise, the performance is stellar. Sang Yeob shines once again. So did Jo Dong Hyuk and Ye Ji Won. I am new to Park Ha Sun so I have nothing to compare. But she did well as Ji Eun.
I am currently behind, this drama will end on August 24. Are you ready for it to end?
