Just Watched: My P.S. Partner

I have been meaning to watch this movie for the longest time. I finally had the time to watch when I was in the middle of nowhere in Bangladesh with a poor internet connection. This movie came in handy just because… I realized when I first started it, I was on the plane and my phone (yes, I was watching from my tiny screen) was visible to everyone. Ooops… that raunchy scene during the first 30 minutes got me shook a bit! Sorry, peeps!

Currently Watching: Doctor John

I spent my weekend marathoning Doctor John! I started the first four episodes in Malaysia but did not get to continue. It felt good to continue watching this drama. Ji Sung never fails me and he is the reason I am watching Doctor John. I guess he is the reason I can handle this medical drama. There were not many bloody scenes as I thought it would be; thank goodness I survive. Now before this drama, I know nothing about pain management. But now, I am very curious. Even got me google for it!

Just Watched: Feng Shui

I never thought that people would use feng shui for a burial site too. I thought once the dead has left the earth, nothing will burden the living. Turns out I am wrong! Things I learned from watching Feng Shui. This movie, based on a true story, was written solidly and acted strongly by Ji Sung and Jo Seung Woo. What an impressive performance by these two! Also not forgetting Kim Sung Kyun’s performance. He played the lead of Kim clan which oh my goodness, I have never seen him playing baddies this good. Well, is he a baddie?

Currently Watching: Familiar Wife

Thank goodness I have enough time to catch up with Familiar Wife. I have been wanting to see it for quite sometimes but a bit afraid since I am still not done with my travel. It is a good thing that this drama has reached episode 12 which means we have 4 more episodes to go. I haven’t caught up with this week’s episode but I will. The reason I watch Familiar Wife is because of Ji Sung. Who does not like him, right? Remember him in Kill Me, Heal Me? Plus, the poster really intrigues me.

Wednesday Eu-Mak: Lunar New Year

Annyeong and hello! Happy Lunar New Year eve everyone! What a year and I’m happy to leave the year of horse. My year was horrible. Too many death and tragedy in the horse year and I hope that the year of sheep will bring us lots of prosperity, good health and wealth, and many joys to our lives. Here are couple of clips from my favorite Kill Me, Heal Me cast for the new year celebration. Take it away….!

I laughed so hard on the second clip! Shin Se Gi??? Why not Yo Na though? *giggles*. And here is new year greeting by new kpop group, G-Friend. They are so cute!

And also by CNBlue – in Mandarin and Korean. Jia yo!

Well, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers Happy Lunar New Year 2015! And don’t forget… clean your house tonight to get rid of those bad horse year omen and welcome the sheep year by wearing colorful  dresses, or in Chinese, preferably in red ^^.

Currently Watching: Kill Me, Heal Me

Oh my, my, my… Where do I even begin? All I wanna say is thank the Lord/God that Lee Seung Gi and Hyun Bin turned the main lead role down! I was so devastated at first when the production has little over a month to find their OTP. When I heard Ji Sung oppa accepted the role, I was relieved. But then, the game of who will be his leading lady started. Not in my wildest imagination that Hwang Jung Eum would be his partner-in-crime once again. The minute I heard her name I immediately nodded. Yes, yes… Why didn’t I think of that? She can be annoying and irritating but I still love her. She works well with Ji Sung in Secret and I know she will do good in Kill Me, Heal Me too. Despite some painful screeching screams from her on the first several episodes, I still don’t mind it. And despite how she overreacted and overacted as well? *folds arm* still don’t mind! I have accepted her wacky characters especially in Full House 2 and I know she will do the same here. For those who can’t stand her, I’m so sorry. How about just accept her for who she is? The SK netizens love her so you have no choice but to love her too! *winks*

I started Kill Me, Heal Me 3 weeks after its airing date and I am glad I did. This show is definitely my current krack at the moment! I usually don’t discuss any dramas once I’m done watching the episode but I found myself continue discussing it after hours. I’m so well immersed and absorbed into Kill Me, Heal Me that I even put a lot of thought into it. Now mind you that I watch dramas for my entertainment and blog it just to let you all know whether it is worth watching it. And if you read my post carefully, I hardly put much thought into it because a) I’m not a professional drama/movie critics and b) my opinion is very shallow. *shrugs* but you know what, I’m going to maintain my shallowness in this post because really… I am *giggles*. But I do wanna emphasize one thing and that is the way Ji Sung portrays Cha Do Hyun and his 7 personalities (even though I have yet to meet Na Na and Mister X). ON POINT! I don’t know any actors could do such great work as Ji Sung! To be honest, I think he deserves an Oscar! I’m not kidding!

Kill Me, Heal Me is a story of Cha Do Hyun and his 7 personalities he developed after traumatic experience he faced during his childhood. His different personalities are extreme characters and unlike Do Hyun at all. The only trouble is that one of his personality is quite dominant he (Se Gi) could take over Do Hyun anytime. It can be scary but Do Hyun is so chicken sh*t at times that made Se Gi unable to sit still and take in charge of the life instead. Oh Ri Jin is a new residence psychiatrist that suddenly caught up in between his personalities. Se Gi has his own charms and he made her fall for him but she later realized she met Do Hyun’s crazy personality. Their fate collided more and more which prompts Do Hyun to hire her as his “Secret Doctor” to care for him and his illness. On the other hand, Ri Jin’s brother, Ri On is a writer who secretly have been following Do Hyun around ready to unveil his rich lifestyle and background. The only problem is that Ri On hold a secret key that could lead him to be related to Do Hyun in secret life. From what I know, Ri On is in love with his sister, Ri Jin. No no no, this is not an incest as later on we found out that they have no blood connection but when he found out that she has been living secretly with Do Hyun instead of attending a 3-month course at the John Hopkins University, he started to be wary and pissy and the jealousy is growing. Now the question is… what exactly happened in the past that lead to this mess?

Ok, did I just sound too serious all of a sudden? *waves hands* Please, please do NOT take me so seriously! This show is a rom-com! It’s funny as hell! I laughed so hard with all the characters! I have yet to meet NaNa but she supposed to be a cutesy little girl. And I have yet to meet Mr. X as well and who knows when will we meet him. Yo Na is a crazy teenage girl and all she cares are makeup, clothes and boys (and of course, she fell for Ri On) (she licked his picture on Ri Jin’s cell, and so he is now hers!). Yo Sub is a 17 year old, suicidal boy yet he’s super smart and sensitive. I actually like Yo Sub coz he is quite mature for himself. And then we have Perry Park, an expert is bomb making. Perry Park appears to be a middle age ahjusshi and he loves to wear anything flowery – so if you wanna give him a gift, I highly recommend Hawaiian shirt *giggles*. And then we have Se Gi. He is a sexy beast! But he is the most dominant one of all of Do Hyun’s crazy personalities. To be honest, a lot of people including I could fall for him. His gaze is just too hot to resist! *fans self*. Ok, did I miss another one? *scratches head*

This currently airing drama still has 5 weeks to go! I wonder how it will be for the next 1o episodes to come. Really yeoreobun, the first 10 episodes were so entertaining and fun I find myself constantly rewatching them over and over. My favorite episode so far? #8! Do Hyun’s sssssshhhhh gesture when he and his secretary unveiled to Ri Jin among other secret duties that she was not aware as his doctor really was effortlessly sexy! So yeoreobun, Kill Me, Heal Me is a must watch! MUST! Don’t even think about skipping it, it is the bomb show! What a way to start your 2015 drama!

Currently Watching: Secret Love/Secret

Kkkkkkkkkkrack! Krack krack krack! *pulls hair* Never, I mean NEVER, in my KDrama life have I seen a revenge melodrama (as it claimed to be) gone wrong! And a revenge melodrama this funny? Seriously, seriously unbelievably entertaining! This currently airing show is my now #1 crack drama of the season! When I first saw the first episode with ADGirl, it was just a bleh *spits profusely* so mutually we decided to quit watching it all together. And one day… I have nothing to watch. None! Zip! Nada and I figured, I have nothing to lose and watch Secret again and worse comes to worse… I’ll just give it a bad review! Heck, I just bit my tongue! By the time I reached episode 4, I was a crazy female dog running from one end to another end hoping that Wednesday would come sooner! Yeah *drools like a dog* I HAVE FOUND MY CRACK DRAMA  and I’m addicted to it excessively. Just give me the bloody episodes, please!!!!! *trembles and reaches for drugs*

Secret, a 16 episode drama by KBS2, told a story of four different lives collided by a hit and run accident that the aftermath collapsed their world to pieces. Four different characters, four different goals in pursuing their own happiness. Nothing best in pursuing your goals if money is not on the table, right? So here we are, thrown into a puddle of shit with richness, greatness, grandness, romance (one sided, mutual or nothing) and a whole lot of mumbo jumbo of craziness! To say it is a makjang drama, it isn’t. Not makjang at all… In fact, the story itself makes it easier for you to follow. The only upside, yes no downside so far, is that whatever revenge plot Min Hyuk tried to get back to the people who caused his pain just never goes according to what he wanted! It doesn’t sound upside to you? You just need to watch to understand it! And this upside costs us the biggest laugh of all! Ooops, I just give it out a spoiler right there! Aaaah, who cares… let me shower you with more spoilers through the characters!

  • Ji Sung as Jo Min-Hyuk: a spoiled rich brat who understand nothing but living in his own bubbles. His girlfriend died in a hit and run accident and ever since he found out the murderer (unknowing that she’s not the real murderer) is a substitute driver he once hired, he started tormented her life over and over again even after she pays her dues to the justice and real life. Ji Sung started to follow her in which eventually became very stalkerish and obsessive. He follows her around, made his Secretary/driver, Gwang Soo, tracks every moves she made and report all her activities to him. It is a definitely confusing to understand Min-Hyuk, even himself found it confusing by his own actions and wait… could he starting to develop a caring side despite wanting her to payback his pain? Min-Hyuk has a gorgeous fiancee in which somehow he started to have a feeling for her as well yet he can’t let go of his obsession with the murderer.
  • Hwang Jung-Eum as Kang Yoo-Jung: a dedicated and hardworking daughter, Yoo-Jung grew up in a single parent household with a baker father and does multiple jobs to support herself. Her loves for baking inspires her to create a new baking recipe for a competition she wanted to be part of but he dreams were shattered when she found herself slapped with a hit-and-run case and went to jail for it. Here’s a secret: it wasn’t her but her fiancee. She shielded him by admitting to the case because he just started a career as a prosecutor. The irony of this secret: he IS the prosecutor of the case she did not even involved with! She found herself pregnant when she’s in jail but the child died later and now she felt there is no reason to live and broke her engagement. Min-Hyuk however kept haunting her and she ended up agreeing to all the things he asked her to do in hopes that she could pay up the debt she owes for the death of his girlfriend. Sometimes I wonder, how far would she go? She already pays her dues!
  • Bae Soo-Bin as Ahn Do-Hoon: a forever guilty face shown on his face (perfect actor for the role), Prosecutor Ahn lives with his parents who mom constantly nagging at him for choosing Yoo-Jung for his bride. He is an okay prosecutor and struggles with his cases during Yoo-Jung time in jail. As a prosecutor, you almost expected him to be honest and all… but not in Secret. Ahn has not one, but two secrets he’s hiding from the justice. He was behind the wheels and he was the one that caused the accident. He could have told the truth but god forbid, he didn’t. Why? He just got engaged and just appointed as a prosecutor. SMDH, that’s his secret number 1. Number 2? Now, this secret is deliberate and I can now call him a true MURDERER! Wae? He killed his dementia father-in-law when he heard the old man blurted out that he knew Ahn was behind the wheels, not his precious daughter. Well, well, well… what we got here? Eeeeh? *wiggles brows* In the end, Yoo Jung and him broke off their engagement and Ahn became convinced (and desperate since he lost his job) that money is everything and accepted the job under Min-Hyuk. He knew that Min-Hyuk will tormented him as much as he did to Yoo-Jung coz psssst, Min Hyuk knows that him and Yoo-Jung are a couple.
  • Lee Da-Hee as Shin Se-Yeon: a pretty heiress (is she an heiress or a daughter of a high ranking politician?), she has been friends with Min-Hyuk since childhood and fair enough chosen as his bride. But she found out his little obsession and decided to turn this marriage into business. She demanded various demands from his family just to secure herself for future sake. Obviously, I would do that too. She is confused however with Min-Hyuk… How can she not? At times, he showed her with so much caring (or lured her to think it that way) but at times, he showed her his tiny obsession that she found it ridiculously childish. She is in love with Min-Hyuk, I could just tell it from “look at me, look at me” expression on her face. Because Min-Hyuk’s not-so-little obssession, she adopted Ahn to be on her side as a friend unknowing to her that Ahn’s original intention to be just friends turned into something else as well…. This caused a little havoc when Min-Hyuk noticed it as well.

Well, how messy is that? Now, many little things will come out more in future episodes. Friends, enemies, loves, hates… This is mine, no.. this is mine. The men want to claim possession on both women and I will not know how this will turned out to be in the end. Ok, after I laid out the secrets above, I somehow have this feelings there are more secrets we have yet to see. For instance, is it really true that Yoo-Jung’s child died of sickness? Could he be given away through adoption that no one knows but….. Min-Hyuk? Please remember, the whole goal of Secret is to make the people payback from Min-Hyuk’s lost. But how far must he go to get his revenge? See it for yourself, peeps. This is a must watch from me. I vouch that! Can you tell how serious I am? TAD SERIOUS! WATCH IT!!!!
