Just Dropped: Different Dreams

Yeah, Different Dreams and I have different dreams. I don’t see it eye to eye with this show anymore. I try my best to give it another chance but I just couldn’t. I’m not sure what it is that makes me lose hope. I get bored most of the time. Every time I see an opportunity for a story to reach climax, it did no go the way I wanted it to be. I get deflated too many times. Even though the story is based on true event and with some true real characters, the stupidity in some scenes got me frustrated. I feel that the show could have been better told. And better direct.

Currently Watching: The Guest

Finally, a drama I could brag about! Scary? Maybe. Intrigue? Yes. Interesting? Absolutely. Romance? Get the hell out of here. However, I must say, The Guest is not for the weak heart. Surprisingly, my heart is strong to handle all the grossness. I started watching it when I was in Myanmar. Jet lag is my best friend and it gives me ample of time to catch on new dramas. Hence, I started 100 Days My Prince and of course, The Guest. Bel warned me to watch it at day but I could not resist. When someone says that, it felt like a challenge. The worse part was I saw the first episode while having dinner! I felt so satisfying watching the bloodiest scene while slurping my delicious pasta con funghi!

Currently Watching: Voice

*deep exhale* I don’t know where to begin. Yeah, honestly I don’t. And why am I still watching it? *deep breathe* *deep exhale* because I haven’t seen many Korean dramas this year. Because it is Jang Hyuk. Because it is a crime and thriller drama. Unfortunately, Voice disappoints me but I heard it picks up after ep 11. Sure, the cases can be brutal. And I love the craziness of the villains portrayed in this show. However, they are not bloody and violent enough for me. Voice could never compete with Japanese’s crime dramas. If you want to see real psycho villains, you should watch Japanese dramas. They will get you good!

Just Watched: The Himalayas & Orange

Yeap, I was able to squeeze a couple more movies during my flight! I was on a roll! So here are my reviews:

The Himalayas

This movie really touches me to the core. I cried a lot! The men bonded over their mutual interest! To hike the Himalaya! This is a courage citizen stories of a different kind. The goal is one! To get on that peak! And another peak. And another! But I loved it. Based on true story, The Himalayas is definitely a movie you need to prepare your heart. This is a hearty movie that everyone should watch it!

Orange

I was contemplating whether I should watch Orange. But I did and quite liked it. My only beef with this movie? It was a bit too long. Too many fillers, I really couldn’t stand sitting for too long. But overall, it was a great movie concept. Naho and Hiroto are both married. They decided to write letters to their younger selves to save their depressed friend, Kakeru. Basically, their letters are meant to change the world. But I didn’t get the ending. They were able to save Kakeru but what happened to their future? Naho and Kakeru dated prior. Did their lives change too? The acting was great. The emotional part was extremely strong especially by Kento as Kakeru. I’m always drawn to his movies and this is another great one!
