Day 2 – Who is your Kpop bias?
Sada: This question is so ungrateful! How? How to choose one when there are so many babies out there and that I love them all?! If I have to choose, then let’s go with my ultimate cutie L from Infinite and JungEunJi from A pink. *sobs* sobs ma babies!
I do feel this year flies by really quickly! I went through so many things this year. My husband was away for almost 9 months, we almost moved to Washington (the state), we bought a new house and just sold our townhouse 4 days ago. The worse part of all is that my husband changed his job twice! It was a hard journey to be a breadwinner for the past 4 years. I am really tired of life sometimes.
If you notice, I have not been blogging a lot. I don’t watch as many dramas as I used to. My Wednesday Eu-Mak post got neglected and now I do not have the desire to continue. But, what I lost I gain with new ones. My son started his school this year and he continues to be the joy of my life. We love our new home! And the best of all, I get to enjoy life more comfortably!
I better stop ranting and venting *laughs*. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope you have a wonderful celebration with your families and friends! I will leave you all with Jingle Bell Rock performed by my newest crush, Park Bo Gum and Irene!
I came back from work to the news that G.O will enlist in 3 days. February 18, 2016 is the day all G.O fans will shed their tears. Though we all know this day will come, but to finally hear it I can’t help but feeling emotional and teary. I have been following his singing career religiously until recently that I sort of shy away from all GO stuffs since it can be overwhelming to my current emo state. G.O is a timeless singer of all time and I know he will understand that this fan of his needs a time of her own since 2016 can be overwhelming to herself too.
G.O recently performed on I.CALL Concert (on Valentine’s Day) and his outstanding performance proven that no matter what song he is given to perform, he will perform it as if the songs are his. This guy is beyond great! Check out the vids below:
Anyway, I will miss him. It will be a quite 2 years until his release date on February 17, 2018. To all G.Oddesses out there, you will be fine. I will be fine, too. We can do this together. Regardless of our experiences with G.O (dreaming of him, meeting him, shaking hands with him, chatting with him, or whatever), we will stand strong and unite, and patiently wait until he complete his mandatory army service. *hugs*
If you know me, besides my love for MBLAQ GO’s and Roy Kim’s awesome, awesomesauce voice, my next favorite vocal is FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi. This boy really knows how to sing and he sings exceptionally well! And he just released his first solo album! What took you so long, kiddo???? The one I’m featuring today is his Japanese release of Monologue. The J album is called AM302 whereas K version is FM302. How unique!
This song touches my heart immediately! I love, love Monologue so much. Sure his voice comes out a bit strong that often time I found the music is drowning, but who am I kidding! Do I look like I care???? *evil cackle* Let’s stop complaining, and start enjoying it! This song needs more view on the YT page. C’mon, PrimaDonna…. Where are you at??? Support Lee Hong Gi! He needs you!
I hope it is not too late to dedicate a post to my bias, MBLAQ G.O! Today, November 6, is his birthday. And the man tweeted the above pic not too long ago. I caught it just in time before I left for work and currently stealing my precious work time to blog it. He looks so good in that hat. And I can’t help but smiling as he came to my dream last night. I was with him the whole time. I woke up happy. Thank you for showing up in my dream, G.O! And a very happy, HAPPY, birthday! I really hope he will have a success year, personal and career wise! Blow your candles, G.O! *blows kisses*
Update: Thanks to a good A+ on my twitter, Christina, we finally got the REAL scoop! GO did go to hospital for treatment but was not hospitalized nor collapsed. Now that’s a huge relief! Let’s wish for speedy recover for him now…
Well, we don’t know for sure but I’m sadden by the news when I read it this A.M that G.O is ill. He was hospitalized (still unconfirmed) due to his vocal cord issues. I’m extremely afraid of what would happen next. I heard it was just nodules and it is not as bad as we think. *shrugs* All he needs now is to rest. I hope he will not have to go to surgery to remove them. We all know the consequences – it could damage his vocal cord and ruin his voice. And… let’s not think too far! I really hope he is spared from all this. With his schedule fully booked since Saturday, I really hope he gets plenty of rest. But I can assure you that he will be out and about in no time, especially knowing that JTune doesn’t market them well enough. G.O, Seung Ho and Mir have lots to carry on their shoulder. *cries* Let us all pray for speedy recovery to G.O and gets plenty of rest whenever there is a room for him to do so.
GET WELL, G.O!!!!

Yeoreobun, annyeong! Sorry for this late posting as I’m still exhausted from my quick getaway to Tokyo last week. What was I doing there? To attend their perfomance and to shake hands with the MBLAQ men, of course! And I did it! I wish I had this opportunity more often prior but hey, I’m not going to dwell much but simply cherish every memories I have with them. I’ve met several K-pop groups in the past but my feelings for them were different. I enjoy their songs and attended their concerts as their not-too-crazy-fan fan. But with MBLAQ’s concert, the feeling was much different. Bittersweet yet happy! Their songs are unconventional and unique yet good, and the group loves exploring new genres and styles of music. To brand them as a k-pop group now is really unfitting and unsuitable as they are moving away from that to more of a jazzy, r&b ballad style music. And hence, they’ve been upgraded from boys to men!
Just to jolt your memory, let’s visit Stay. This song is one of their earlier songs that is branded very kpop! Look at the MV. It was shot in a typical studio set and the music is the upbeat and typical kpop!
And several albums later, MBLAQ came out with This is War. It’s a completely different concept and you can see how they mature up in this vid. You can see the music concept has matured and their talents were enhanced through this song. I believe it is a not an easy song… Correct me if I’m wrong but This is War requires various range of vocal to produce such harmony yet powerful melody!
Today, there are three men leading the group. They just released their 8th mini album yesterday (June 9, 2015) and I’m currently in love with the perfection of this album! It’s just that good! By now, they have completely left kpop genre and definitely in the jazzy and r&b land! I 100% approve of their decision! Here is their latest new hit, Mirror (open with Resurrection), performed by M3LAQ for Show Champion!
The men’s journey is far from over! I’m extremely excited to see them back in radar! I look forward to many more live performances by them! Keep supporting M3LAQ, y’all!
