Currently Watching: Queen of Mystery

I just love Choi Kang Hee. She is just so adorable! From the way she talks and makes faces, I just find her utterly adorable! I have been trying my best to watch all her dramas though I couldn’t get into her Glamorous Temptation and quit 7th Grade Civil Servant. And even though I said I have been trying, I still haven’t seen her old dramas. Anyway, I love her in Heart to Heart and I thought Queen of Mystery will give me the same feels as well. I have been playing catch up with this drama since Monday and I am finally watching episode 10. I really enjoy watching the OTP. Their chemistry is awesome. She calls him Detective Ha. He calls her ahjumma. So hilarious!

Currently Watching: Laurel Tree Tailors

Wow, it must be something in the water with KBS right now. They continue to produce great weekend family drama. Five Children was a great hit! I enjoyed it so much! If I could rewatch, I would! I was skeptical with Laurel Tree Tailors simply because of the title! And the drama poster was not to my liking. Like Five Children, I waited for reactions on the Twitter before I started it. The reviews were extremely favorable. I knew immediately that it is a cue for me to stat it. And frankly, 46 episodes later, this show does not fail me at all. Bravo to KBS. Again, the next drama has a big shoe to fill in!

Where do I even begin with this show? Unlike Blow Breeze, this show makes me laugh. A lot! I did not like the beginning, though. It started a meh. This drama started with Man Sool, the president and owner of the Laurel Tree Tailors shop. He decided to run away from his family and his work and left his family in disarray. I thought it was a very bold yet selfish move by him. Needless to say, though, his disappearance united the family together. His apprentice Sam Do moved back to the city to run the tailor shop. His once arrogant son divorced his wife and started working in the shop, too. Yeon Shil, the junior apprentice, worked her hardest to escape her almost marriage to Gi-Pyo, a gangster she owed her life to. Tae Yang, Yeon Shil’s friend, struggled after his girlfriend left him for a wealthy man. Lastly, Tae Pyung, once a famous singer had to face his reality that he is no longer known to people.

All these five characters unite because of Laurel Tree Tailors. The plots and twists in this drama really made it really enjoyable. Yes, it has some frustrating moments but it is way better than any other family and daily dramas. The coupling in this show is to die for. They all have their own dynamics. Sam Do and his bossy wife Sun Nyeo are the hardest couples to watch. Sun Nyeo is older than Sam Do and wanted a child. But he constantly avoiding her because really, she really is an embarrassment to him. Physically and mentally. Dong Jin fell for the apprentice, Yeon Shil. Of course, he did not fall for her immediately. He called her pretentious while all she ever wanted was to get along with her master’s son. Tae Yang had the hardest love life. His ex-girlfriend dumped him for a rich man who hired him just to torment him. He found love unexpectedly. Through his ex’s boyfriend’s sister! Small world, isn’t it? And lastly, our talented Tae Pyung. Dong Jin’s sister, Dong-Sook has been a fan of his music since she was in her 20s. She’s been so supportive of Tae Pyung. The road to their coupling hit a roadblock when her mom hooked her up with a self-made stingy, rich man.

The side characters’ stories are as entertaining as the main leads. I really can’t find any other way to hate them. And I really can’t give you any reasons to hate this drama. The only thing I dislike was that the show got extended by another 4 episodes. I don’t know what the reason was but I am actually okay. I haven’t seen this week’s episodes but I am certainly looking forward to it. I know some watchers are sick of the main couple, Dong Jin and Yeon Shil by now. I am not but I do get it. Her loyalty is questionable, sometimes. My favorite couple of the bunches is Tae Yang (aka Kang star) and Hyo Won. I look forward to their scenes all the time! And his proposal to her was to die for. I will never eat cotton candy the same way anymore.

Laurel Tree Tailors, or known to others as The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop, is a must watch family drama. I will seriously miss this show when it ends. Really, the show really brightens up my weekend. Yes, I am a fan of family weekend dramas. I may sound bias but hey, I think it is worth a shot. You won’t be disappointed! If you do *pouts*, please holla me!

Just Dropped: Descendants of the Sun

Descendants_of_the_Sun-p1This drama has put me to snooze so many times and really, I really just can’t continue with it anymore. I feel that it is challenging my intelligence. I know a few of military stuff since I’ve been growing up watching a lot of war documentaries and movies with my late dad and hub. But when I notice that the writer did not fact check on some military policies and procedures, I feel very disappointed and frustrated. Is it so hard to check facts? I’m sorry, this time, I really can’t let it slide…

I have no problem with the storyline whatsoever though. It is all oh so beautiful. The cinematography is very beautiful. The Songs (Joong Ki and  Hye Kyo) are pretty people. The abs were delicious! *licks* But my brain shuts down and rejects Descendants of the Sun. And with that, I have no other excuses but to drop it. Drop it while it is hot! This is a rare moment and you know I hardly drop dramas. I always give my all out but I’m determined to just move on… *sigh*.

My wish is for someone to bottle up all the gorgeousness of the OTPs into one hour clip and post it up on YouTube. Yes, I will watch that! Are you still watching it, chingu? If you dropped it, please tell me why…  Can you smell my guilty when everybody else are still enjoying it? *cries*

Currently Watching: Mask

fullsizephoto595989

When I heard Joo Ji Hoon is in this drama, boy oh boy, the excitement in me is beyond words! I screamed like a school girl! I’m a fan of his acting. The last time I saw him was in Five Fingers and I was head over heel with him. Well, that’s one half of the story. The fact that he is incredibly talented and super duper handsome, can you blame me for being this giddy? You can’t! Because I know you are squee-ing as loud as I am too! The man is just… a walking sex symbol! There, I said that! Too much? Ehhh, who cares! It is my post and I’m entitled to say whatever I want! The canvas is white and I’m painting it with red lips kisses all over it! *giggles*. Okay *breathe*, let’s stop fangirling and focus on Mask, my current obsession drama *wink*NISI20150528_0010989593_web

Yes, I admit I was very excited to watch this drama. Joo Ji Hoon is a driving factor, of course! And sure, we can throw Yeon Jung Hoon and Hoya into it as well. Why not! A cast with full of sophisticated and handsome looking men? I’m in! Sadly, I’m not fond of both female leads. Soo Ae looks very depressing whereas Yoo In Young looks very bitchy! Well, we can just expect this drama will go as melo as we want it to be. Will it reprise the melo-ness of Secret? *giggles* I was shut down completely on the first episode already. Mask is more comedy than melo, to be honest! Waeeeeeeeeee? *stomps her feet* This girl want melo!

photo597971

So Mask is a story of doppelganger. Seo Eun Ha is a daughter from a wealthy family. Her family arranged her marriage to Choi Min Woo, a chaebol heir of a large conglomerate company. Min Woo has OCD and mistrust issue and he was not happy to be married of to Eun Ha. Eun Ha agreed to this marriage only because but she warned Min Woo that he will not have her heart as she has given it away to another man. That another man is none other that Min Woo’s brother in law, Min Seok Hoon. Seok Hoon is married to Min Woo’s eonnie, Choi Mi Yeon. So noticed that I’m telling a story from Eun Ha’s perspective whereas in the drama, it is from Eun Ha’s doppleganger side Byun Ji Sook. Ji Sook assumed Eun Ha’s identity when Ji Sook was given a life or death choice by Seok Hoon. Before Eun Ha’s death, she and Seok Hoon were planning on framing Min Woo but it didn’t turn out to how it should be. Now, Seok Hoon is making Ji Sook to step in as Eun Ha and planning his seeds into Ji Sook. The problem is Ji Sook is forever feeling guilty. And of course, in my feeling, she is the most stupidest character in this drama. *shakes head*

photo598299

From Ji Sook’s perspective, she dreams of becoming rich. Her family is poor and in debt. She tries her hardest to pay out the debt by partying with who’s who of the block but constantly getting humiliated. This opportunity offerd by Seok Hoon is a bitter sweet for her. She gets to be play a rich girl but had to die in her family’s eyes. But Ji Sook constantly feeling guilty and trying her hardest to reach out to her family even though she knows her family had accepted her death. This stupidity going on and on from one episode to another. Frankly, I’m getting tired by her stupidity and carelessness. She was caught by her younger brother (that she’s alive and well) and now, even the gangster is on her tail. Yeah, I told ya she is stupid. Min Woo, who was once suspicious and wary of Eun Ha is now curious that she’s different before the marriage.

photo606422

The question is because Ji Sook is so stupid and trying hard to get away under Seok Hoon’s influence, would she able to get herself away and figure out the reasons what Seok Hoon with Choi Min Woo’s household? 10 episodes have aired and we have another 10 episodes to go. As much as the madness and chaotic this drama can be, I will still watch it. I am frustrated that I spent the past 5 episodes watching Ji Sook continuously making poor and stupid decision. By the end of episode 10, I thought I saw some light. I really hope Ji Sook is really accepting her role as Eun Ha and turns the table around with Seok Hoon. I also hope that she could convince Min Woo to quit taking his medication, one of the reasons that constantly made him unreliable and fragile as Director in his own company. Do you think Ji Sook can now put on the mask and save herself, Min Woo and the company? What do you think Seok Hoon wants so badly from the Choi’s household? Do you have any theory you want to share with me? My theory is that Choi’s dad must have ruined his family and now taking revenge alone since the real Eun Ha is dead. His goal is now to continuously poison Min Woo and once the board kicks him out, Seok Hoon will step in and eventually take it all as his! *laughs* Yes, I have my own evil plots too! Hehehe… If you haven’t seen the drama, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Watch for the craziness, people!

Currently Watching: Two Mothers

Two_Mothers-p1

Yeap, me and my daily dramas again. We are kind of inseparable *giggles*. I don’t know *shrugs* why I’m suddenly drawn to it. The story plots are much more juicier and scandalous. LOL scandalous is my new favorite word by the way *grins*. Bel can vouch me on that! So anyway, since Ruby Ring is almost ending I decided to find a new replacement for a new revenge daily drama. Lena, Bel and I agreed that we should watch Two Mothers. The teaser preview was very convincing! The drama poster was so scary we fell for it immediately. And the synopsis of the show were extremely scandalous and downright stupid but we went on with the show regardless since we decided to watch it together.

Two-Mothers-Cuckoo-Nest_4

So last week was the week of doom. We saw the first 12 episodes. We watched. And we watched. And watched. We started yelling from the first episode. We shook out head in disbelief. Stupid! Ridiculous! Unbelievable! And __________ (insert your preferred cussing word). We thought the main female lead is utterly ridiculous. No! A crack! She accused people blatantly for the death of her oppa without concrete evidence. I mean… C’mon!!!! How stupid can you be! It was no Angel’s Revenge accident! This accident happened on broad daylight with many witnesses who can solemnly swear that her oppa died in a car accident, not murdered as she claim it to be. *shaking my head* she is stupid!

collage

This morning Lena started watching episode 13. She had to fast forward some parts because she couldn’t stand the boring plots anymore. In order for the Hwa Young aka Grace Lee to revenge her oppa’s death (remember, her oppa got into an accident and not murdered), she started to seduce Byeong Kook, husband to her oppa’s ex. And then she did the most disgusting infidelity act that led me to decide this show is no longer worthy of a watch! She seduced her oppa’s ex’ dad! Now what kind of eff up revenge is this??? Hell NO! I have to put a stop on this! And because of that… I’m dropping Two Mothers. There is no value in this show. Very immoral. I do not want to be part of such nonsense, stupid and disgusting drama. This is a 100 episode drama and it is still airing. I do not want to waste my 60+ hours… *taps on back* This is the best decision I’ve ever made. Please… save your time, DO NOT WATCH Two Mothers. Plus, it is so boooooooring and predictable! Yeah… *nods* toss this drama away!
