Just Watched: Piece of Cake

Piece of Cake? More like a piece of mess! But no, I did not regret watching it. It is a filler in the background while I finish up my work assignments this evening. I don’t pay much attention but I could see the flaws, the weak writing, and messy plots. I would credit the acting though especially between Ayano Go and Tabe Mikako in their last scene together. But really… I rolled my eyes watching them bickering for a good 5 minutes and then starting to kiss. What was the argument for?

Currently Watching: Mr. Queen

Mr. Queen is my current crack drama! I never thought that this drama would be so good and so funny! At episode 15, I still found myself enjoying it a lot! Yes, I may say that as it has been smooth sailing so far but I know the sh*t is about to hit the fan soon. It is impossible to watch a drama without a storm, right? And as usual, when I started watching a drama, I did not know what exactly the show is about. I saw Mr. Queen‘s trailers and thought they were funny. However, when I started watching the first episode, I got really confused because the drama is set in the present time. You can imagine my confusion. Where is my Shin Hye Sun? Why is Choi Jin Hyuk on my screen? Yup, I was confused and panicked. I looked at the title. It says, Mr. Queen! What is going on?

Currently Watching: Birthcare Center

So right after I completed Search, I wanted to watch something light and different from my usual watch. I saw Birthcare Center on Viki and wondered if I should pick it up since it’s only 8 episodes long. Well, my decision moved up quickly when I realized Yoon Park is also in it. I wanted to show A how versatile his acting is. I enjoy him mostly in weekend family dramas so seeing him in prime time dramas once a while is refreshing.

End of the Year Drama Challenge: Day 9

Today’s challenge, an older drama I watched in 2020, is fairly easy. It has been on my list to watch since it was aired. Back in Arizona, I used to work in a restaurant owned by a Taiwanese-Korean couple. My boss Minji, went on and on and on about how much she loved My Lovely Sam Soon was. Hearing it from her sort of push back my desire to watch it. I pretty much know exactly what the drama was about because of her. She spoiled it too much *laughs*!

Currently Watching: Life Senjou no Bokura

xKyJjf

Ever since I saw Life Senjou no Bokura aka Life-Love on the Line on Viki’s upcoming drama list, I knew immediately I will be watching it. I have to support Viki’s daring move of continuously supporting brotherly love (BL) Japanese drama and I have to support BL drama, in general. Though I still have a hard time watching Thai BL dramas, however, I have no problem watching Korean and Japanese dramas. I am not exposed much with the Korean ones but hopefully, I get to see more soon. Back to Life Senjou no Bokura, I am so glad I finally get a chance to catch it. My only disappointment is that this show is only 4 episodes long! Bel would be disappointed, too!
