Do You Like Brahms? I do and I loved this drama so much! I feel that Kdrama Gods have answered my prayers! This drama came at the right time when I was painfully trying to finish Sweet Munchies. Let’s not go dwell on the past… *shudders*
It takes me 4 years to finally watch Train to Busan! I have never been interested in any zombie shows or dramas. I mustered my strength when Kingdom and Kingdom 2 aired. Even so, I was too scared I watched them in broad daylight. Yeah, I am a chicken and wuss. I don’t do well with the horror genre. When I started to work from home due to COVID-19, one of the things my son and I decided to commit to watching different movies every night. Though my son cheated at times, I stick to the rule. Only unseen movies and of course, I suggested Train to Busan. I needed a friend!
I am apparently way behind on A Piece of Your Mind. Working from home has taken a toll on my body and brain. I just want to watch something mindless – like Youn’s Kitchen 2 which I just completed. Part of me does not want to watch this drama as quickly as I should not only because of my tiredness, but it is a drama that touches deep into my heart. As someone who recently lost a good friend which is Bel of NewKdramaAddict, this drama makes me realize I wish I have the technology to preserve her well being. Her voice. Her mind. Her calmness. Her memory. I wish this high tech device is available now. I would like a piece of it. Her daughters would appreciate it, too.
I decided to watch The Lies Within because of the politics behind it. And also the synopsis (yes, I read the synopsis since it is available on Netflix) – it is like waking up the sleeping dragon. I love the pace of this show but as you dive in deeper into it, there is nothing extraordinary about it. It is, unfortunately, quite predictable… until I saw the ending. The ending blew my mind. But please, just because the show is predictable, it does not mean it was not good. It is far than good! I think it is super brilliant!
If you are not watching Search WWW, you are missing out on the coolest and chicest drama of 2019. The drama poster got me riled up. Look how cool the ladies are. But the title puzzled me, initially. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I don’t read the synopsis. I remember when I started watching, I was blown away by the open credit of this drama. It is a bit too cool to be true. “I wonder, you search. Me wonder, what you search.” Hmmm what was that mean, right? After watching 2 episodes, I finally understood. It’s a war between two search engines and the people that run it.
This little gem drama is so funny I wonder why aren’t many people watching it. The format reminded me of Modern Farmer even though I dropped that drama. I love that Kim Ji Suk is the main lead – I really enjoyed watching him as the nasty King in Rebel. He really nailed the role. I did not see his previous two show but I feel that he did again in Top Star Yoo Baek as Top Star Yoo Baek! For some reason, this role is made for him. He has the cheese and he knows how to play arrogant cheese.
