Just Watched: A Love So Beautiful

Thanks to kfangurl, I finally able to complete another Chinese drama! A Love So Beautiful was never in my radar. I wanted to watch Meteor Garden 2018 so badly but I knew I could not handle the Chinese cuteness. Kfangurl thinks this drama would be better for me and with a storyline that is similar to Itanazura na Kiss/Playful Kiss, you know I would not miss it for the world! And thank goodness I saw it but after that I had a withdrawal when I completed it.

The story is similar so I don’t have to delve deeper into it. But in this drama, it is explained very detail. It can be frustrating at times especially during the high school period. But I can vouch you that it still worth your time. Or at least, worth my time. Jiang Chen, the male lead, is so cold in high school. He frustrates me the most. He could have saved a lot of face, time and misunderstanding had he speak up. But I also loved him because some of his actions make sense. He wanted to teach Xiao Xi a lesson. She is such a happy spirit but to a point of neglecting her studies and obnoxious with people’s feeling.

As they matured, the relationship became strained. Again, all because they each want to be considered of each other without communicating it. Lack of communication is the biggest issue in this couple. Oy, I sounded like a psychologist but it is the truth. I’m glad it has a happy ending despite my huge second lead syndrome with Wu Bo Song. It makes my precious time totally worth it. Only 23 episodes long, this drama is so cute and adorable! I would watch it if time permits.
