W-Two Worlds: Fangirling Over Lipseu Episode 16

Erl: It’s the final stretch people and they are running out of time. Will our questions be answered? Will our OTP survive? Will we have a happy ending? Are you all ready to find out?

Mari: I think I speak for all of us… yes!!!! Let’s get it over with! 

Nelly: Is it over yet?

Me: We start where we left off – Yeon-Joo and Kang Chul plotting the ending of the manhwa cause yeah, this is the final episode. And my nails are all short because of the biting.

Nelly: I’m just worried whether they will remain as couple or not *rocks back and forth*

Mari: This is a great idea! Make sure that there are no loopholes this time! You last few plans have backfired because of loopholes. 

Me: This is my exact reaction when they removed the rings, like what?! Is that the only thing Kang Chul can think of?

Nelly: I was shocked! It doesn’t make any sense! 

Mari: *defending her uri Kang Chul* but he is being selfless! He loves her so much he can’t see her suffer anymore. He knows that if her father dies as a result, the ending won’t really be happy. 

Me: Yes, you go girl! Tell him! It’s not like you could ever forget him anyways. After all that crossing back and forth just to be with him and save him. I know you can find better ways to end the manhwa.

Nelly: Yeap, you tell him! Being a coward will not change anything right now!

Mari: I loved her answer to his silly plan! Dude, this girl has been to hell & back because of you. She’s literally died, and watched you died ( twice!). If she can help it, she’s never letting you go! 

Me: I love you, too. Oh wait, he’s not saying that to me? Sorry.

Nelly: He meant to say it to me, Erl *wink*

Mari: I’m borrowing my own joke about KIA, I made on Twitter when I was watching this. KIA the perfect family “getaway” vehicle. Yes, I’m trying to be “punny”.

Me: Poor puppy! But Chul, have you thought this through? You saved Do-Yoon but how are you gonna save yourself?

Nelly: Self-sacrifice. Kamikaze. I’m a bit annoyed with him now. He’s entering the lion’s den once again.

Mari: I feel the need to explain this… Crazy Chul has completely lost it. He kidnaps Do Yoon to get a hold of Kang Chul. His ultimatum is “bring me the tablet or I kill you hyung”. Seriously watching my sweet puppy bleed was hard! As you guessed Kang Chul would never let his hyung died so he shows up. 

Me: NOOOOO!!!!

Nelly: No worries, he’ll survive. He always does.

Mari: How many times has Kang Chul been shot? I don’t want to worry, but this is the last episode! This may be it! 

Me: I advise you to remain less curious sir. You know what they say: curiosity killed the cat.

Nelly: Sorry, our world will spit, chew and vomit you back to W! We don’t want you!

Mari: freaking psycho! This insane man is a presidential candidate. I know it’s fiction but it makes me wonder if all politicians are one step away from crazy. 

Me: *covers eyes*

Nelly: C’mon, Kang Chul! Take this A-hole down!

Mari: Fight Kang Chul! Fight! Don’t let this be our ending. I mean! Don’t leave Oh YeonJoo alone! 

Me: My questions exactly, why did you leave Kang Chul alone. He’s bleeding and he almost died in the lion’s den you know. Wait, a lion is also a cat, right?

Nelly: Exactly! No matter what, he’s your boss! He paid your paycheck!

Mari: Worst bodyguards ever or best? They were technically following instructions. Their boss told them to take DoYoon to a hospital, they listen. 

Me: Yes, it is him and yes he managed to get out but now Kang Chul is dying!

Nelly: *sigh* they left Kang Chul behind to defend himself alone!

Mari: Where’s Kang Chul? Why is he not answering the phone? *starts thinking the worse, slaps self to snap out of it* 

Me: NOOO!! He’s dying! where’s Yeon-Joo? Is this really happening? Tell me it’s a fake out, please!

Nelly: *bites nails* this is not how it supposed to be!!! 

Mari: Kang Chul may not make it guys! The fact that he keeps passing out and the phone calls to YeonJoo. They “scream” I’m dying. 

Me: I know that look. It’s like the look Sirus had when he toppled through the veil. This is making me sweat through my eyes.

Nelly: He is not allowed to die!!!! 

Mari: Of all the times for a character to not break the stupid traffic laws & do those illegals turns chaebol’s love. Seriously girl? Run across the freaking street to him!!!!!

Me: Is this really it? WHY? WHY?!

Nelly: Huh? What? This is the ending? At this critical moment? 

Mari: nope, nope, nope!!!! I refuse! I demand a redo! Someone from another world needs to draw another end dammit! 

Me: I need a moment.

Nelly: What the…???? Why now????? 

Mari: pretty much me… 

Me: She just lost her husband that’s why. Oh and she possibly lost her dad as well, that’s why.

Nelly: This poor, clueless doctor…

Mari: I’m surprised she’s functioning at all. 

Me: I knew one of this days Soo-bong is gonna have a breakdown. And I find it so funny that Crazy Dog found his match through him. Thanks, Soo-bong, you tell him!

Nelly: Finally!!!! I was wondering when he will break down and yell!

Mari: Crazy Dog meet Crazy Bong! Poor Soo-Bong, he is as stressed or even more stressed than everyone else. He just found his noona a mess on the side of the road, his hero died and his mentor is missing. 

Me: Question: How come she got out of the manhwa world but it seems dad didn’t? Dad’s human, right?

Mari: I believe her dad explained this in the last episode. When he killed the nurse to escape the mental hospital, he became part of the manhwa. 

Nelly: Yeap, he became part of the manhwa now. 

Me: I haven’t accepted the reality too. That makes two of us.

Nelly: I don’t think I can accept the reality, either. 

Mari: The poor girl just goes to the bus stop to cry? This is heartbreaking 

Me: Wait so it’s the end but it’s really not the end? What? *scratches head*

Nelly: Apparently, the W world keeps on going… Just like any parallel world would be. 

Mari: So… do I start my rant against the writer now? Or keep pretending? I’ll keep pretending. So this is a voice over by Do Yoon I believe. They drove to the stop and found Kang Chul barely alive & Oh YeonJoo’s car abandoned. 

Me: Yes dad, he’s been shot.

Nelly: But could someone release him, please? It hurts me to see him tied up like this.

Mari: Rules, never ever trust an old man that has countlessly betrayed you. 

Me: This is so cruelly brilliant! You go, dad!

Nelly: Yeah!!! I’m so happy he is killing him!

Mari: I’m so annoyed by theses scenes, but since I want Crazy Chul punished, I’ll cheer along. 

Me: Justice served!

Nelly: Just die! DIE!

Mari: A bit brutal but well deserved!

Me: Why do I have this feeling that Dad’s gonna sacrifice himself. Oh, can I just say this actor is really good? He managed to bring out different emotions from me – from anger to pity. It’s like a love-hate relationship.

Nelly: Yes, I agree with you. I love his character. 

Mari: For being such a spineless coward for most of the show, I liked this redemption arc. He loved his daughter & he knew that he killed so he could not leave the manhwa. Yet he made sure his daughter had a chance. 

Me: I’m bawling here. The sacrifice he’s willing to make. GAH. Somebody hold me, please.

Nelly: *sings* Time to… Say goodbye… 

Mari: Goodbye Cartoonist Oh! May you Rest In Peace. 

Me: The only explanation I can think of why he didn’t really die is because dad killed Han Cheol Ho. Right? Could that be it?

Nelly: Because the antagonist died before him… I guess so.

Mari: Yes, somehow Han Chul Ho’s actions & cartoonist Oh sacrifice made the manhwa “logic” work so that Kang Chul could survive. 

Me: Oh, she’s back. Do I really wanna see her?

Nelly: *ignores* next scene, please.

Mari: blah! Blah! Bland…. ahhh, but we must share that after Kang Chul gets out of the hospital he is arrested. There’s new evidence that clears some charges (the CCTV video of Han Chul Ho torturing him?) but he still faked his death. He can’t escape that. He must serve his sentence for Manhwa world to be ok. 

Nelly: for justice that the W readers don’t get to see… 

Me: And I thought I already shed all my tears for dad. *sobs, sobs*

Nelly: Here we go again. *reaches for the Kleenex box*

Mari: I love that Cartoonist Oh drew a picture of himself. Also, the letter *cries along with unnie* 

Me: This here, she’s still waiting. I think the reason she keeps coming back here is in her heart, she believes it’s not over yet.

Nelly: I don’t blame her. She lost him. It’s a big deal. 

Mari: I want to be mad at her & tell her to snap out of it! But the two most important people in her life are gone. She needs to mourn! 

Me: She left her phone at home and now she’s soaked in the rain.

Mari: Wait who’s on the phone? Could it be?? 

Nelly: Who’s calling? Who would be calling her???

Me: Awwww. Bittersweet.

Nelly: Omo! How? I thought he’s in prison? 

Mari: yes!!!! Yes!!!! *happy dance* he has come back to her! They are together again! I also need to share that in real time it’s been 2 weeks while in W ( Manhwa world) Kang Chul served a 2-year sentence. 

Me: They will definitely no longer be at risk of death. That’s another way of saying “and they live happily ever after.”

Nelly: I’m still curious. Will he still go back to W world?

Mari: If 2 people deserve a happy ending, it is these 2! Kids be happy!! 

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Me: And it’s a wrap, folks! *throws confetti* Although I didn’t get the answers to the questions that I have, I’ll let it pass. Maybe just like Writer Oh delayed to give a distinctive characteristic to his manhwa’s original villain, there was also a delay in the delivery of the answer or most probably the writer is challenging us to work on the imagining part. Yes, that’s probably what it is.

On the other hand, some parts of this episode really left an impact to me, the first being dad’s sacrifice. It’s heartwarming and saddening at the same time that in the end, a father is a father. He wants nothing but the happiness of his child or in this case children because, in the end, he accepted Kang Chul as part of his family. Then there’s Yeon-Joo and Kang Chul. They never stopped trying and believing that they can make it, they are very determined.

Overall as I told Nelly, W – Two Worlds to me is like a tornado. It’s exciting at first but ends in disaster with the disaster being until the very end, I still don’t know how it happened that both worlds connected. I don’t buy that it’s because of the tablet, but yeah, I won’t get that explanation anymore.

In closing, can someone tell me what happened to Soo-bong, please? Thank you!

Nelly: I’m satisfied with the ending! I really am! Content with how it is despite the chaotic the writer threw to us. We survived! I must say I enjoy the roller coaster ride. Yes, many unanswered questions but, sometimes, it is best to leave it as that. I am happy with Han Hyo Joo’s comeback to the small screen. I really love her comical character in the beginning and her transformation from comical to frantic to a heroine. She definitely nailed it. Not a whole lot, but I’m satisfied.

Jong Suk came to no shock. He continuously to perform as an actor. I’m happy with his acting progress. I definitely look forward to his next project. I really want to see him in a heavy action drama. I hope he will consider it. As for the writer, she could have made it clearer and cleaner. She ran out of time, too consumed with every little detail in the beginning and in the end, she became less microscopic and sloppy. That’s not the way to end a great show, writer-nim! Plan better next time!

Overall, I’m glad this show is over. I really need a breather now. And, like Erl, what happened to Soo Bong? *sigh*

Mari: I think I’m cured of my Han HyoJoo allergy. She won me over with this show. She may not be the best actress but having to cry as much as she did & still look beautiful takes work. As for the story… *takes a deep breath* let me say I love the actors, they did their best when the writer lost it. I’m not as nice as unnie hoping the writer “meant” for us to understand later. I’ll call out the writer for her carelessness. You can’t create the world, make rules for said world. Then when the rules don’t suit you, change them! A good writer knows how to work themselves out if a corner. It’s not about shocking your viewers. I honestly stop caring for the show after the reset. Because that was such a cheap way of messing with our heads & making their  job easier. Ditto for once Kang Chul starts travelling back & forth between worlds. I’m putting this writer on my “avoid”  list from now on. My dislike grew even more after I read  her post interviews and she mentions that she does not care for final episodes. Wtf? How can a writer not care for how her story will end? That’s the most important part of a story!  In the end, I feel that if I had not been writing these recaps I would had dropped the show early on. My love for Lee Jong Suk also helped me stick around, but this is one show I won’t ever watch again like his other works ( I watched “I hear your voice” & “Pinocchio” multiple times).

Me: I’m thoroughly excited for this episode as I’m expecting more questions answered and probably a reversal of the damaged done. One can hope and dream at the same time, right?

Nelly: The new and improved Kang Chul. Aka Kang Chul 2.0. Yes, I’m excited as well!

Mari: I’m still here! Sorry for the delay! The Moons took my “life” away! 

Me: After the usual “intro” plus the closing scene of the previous episode where Kang Chul ask the question if he was the husband that Yeon-Joo is talking about, everything stopped like the first time he found out that he’s a manhwa character. And like the first time, a portal opened. Ta-da!

Nelly: The dramatic effect *giggle*

Mari: ahhhh so if the characters in a manhwa became “self-aware” ( also if this also works for anime, Team Rocket might be walking around!) the window to the other world opens. Also, why is he so nonchalant now? His first time he went insane? 

Me: Of course he wanted to see the writer, like last time but thankfully this time around he knows better…

Nelly: Omo, look at her. She must be so exhausted from running here and there!

Mari:I guess calm Kang Chul is better then Crazy gun holding Kang Chul. Also my poor girl! She technically has not slept in 1 month. 

Me: I have to add this cause I need an answer. How and why is offering ramyun to someone “racy?”

Nelly: Ramyun is hot and spicy *wiggles brows*. Get it? *wink*

Mari: I don’t know either, but our married unnie is probably right. 

Me: Soo-bong’s reaction is priceless. I bet he’s thinking “here we go again!”

Nelly: How a grown up man can be such a wuss? The pitch of his screams was a sore painful!

Mari: random by why does this actor ( the doctor) look hot here, but like such a dork in the other drama that just needed? Styling? Also, you all know Soo-Boong is just fangirling when he screams? 

Me: Yes, she’s just tired. No need to bring her to the hospital. She’ll be okay with some cuddle. ^_^

Nelly: I know, right? Cuddling is the best medicine ever! Especially with Kang Chul ^^

Mari:I was a bit surprised he was so willing to let her go alone. Then I panic thinking he might go do something crazy. 

Me: Poor Soo-bong, always forgotten.

Nelly: Hahaha sorry Kang Chul, Soo Bong doesn’t exist in your world! He’s a nobody T__T

Mari: I have to keep reminding myself that Kang Chul really does not remember anything. 

Nelly: Our very own McGyver! Sigh… Isn’t he so cool? I now want to go back to school and major in Computer Engineering.

Mari: I honestly don’t see how this is different then just turning the screen off. I do however love that Soo-bong got to meet his idol. 

Me: Me too! Not that I don’t love pulling things apart already. LOL. And more LOL because of Soo-bong asking for a handshake in the midst of Kang Chul’s brainstorming.

Nelly: *laughs* look at him… fanboying over Kang Chul.

Me: He’s never gonna wash his hands! NEVER!

Mari: Never ever washing that hand! Ever! 

Me: And because he wants to prove that he really is smart, Kang Chul continue to “think” on the situation.

Nelly: I admit it really challenges him. Kang Chul 2.0 is awesome!

Mari: The writer has no clue what’s going on, so let’s just sit him in a chair & have him look hot! 

Me: This here is a better confrontation than last time. See, you should have been calmer the first time you saw him. He’s as helpless as you are, he’s not a God.

Nelly: Yeah, he’s no longer a God. He can’t even control his own manhwa now. Sad.

Mari: The threads start unraveling here for me ladies! This speech makes zero sense! Writer Oh created the manhwa, he technically is the God of it, he was full power & control. 

Me: At first I thought that the villain was frozen in time too so I freaked out a little when he moved. Seriously though how  does he know when the tablet opens? Why is he moving? Why is Kang Chul not shooting?

Nelly: But what stop him from shooting him, though? Seriously, he should have! Urgh, I was so disappointed with this.

Mari: He can’t shoot him! Remember he is disappearing because he can’t be the main character in his manhwa anymore. He needs to clear his name & go back to hero status if he wants to not be Casper. 

Nelly: By the way, is that the gun he’s been hiding from his first trip to the real world?

Me: I think this one is the gun from the director’s death. The first gun he brought to the real world he just took from some “frozen” police officer. Sorry, I keep track of guns. LOL. Back to Kang Chul and the now you see it now you don’t hand.. This is worrisome.

Mari: I honestly don’t remember where this gun came from! Oh, wait! This is the gun they drew on him when he killed his ahjussi friend. 

Me: WOW! Just wow! I must say that’s one hot man. How is that ever possible? He’s wearing a white shirt; since when did wearing white shirt make men look so HAWT?

Nelly: Every handsome man in the world must own a white shirt. It’s a mandatory!

Mari: This exchange was cute, I love that’s she’s a bit freak out. Yet in my head I keep wondering why he is putting so much effort into it. He has only seen her a handful of times. How can he have feelings? Also poor SooBong, he is now an ATM 

Me: Yes, you don’t have to look so flushed. After all the chaos of the manhwa world, you get to have a date in the real world.

Nelly: I’m down for a date with Kang Chul. 

Mari: *pushes you all out of the way* mine!!

Me: This is unexpected. But then he doesn’t really know anybody so yeah. Plus Soo-bong did say he’s a fan, not that it’s a ticket to ask for things. LOL

Nelly: He asks nicely, Soo Bong.

Mari: Give him all the monies!! He must buy skinny jeans now!!! 

Me: I think someone should tell him not to ask questions like that if he doesn’t intend to see the end anyways. Don’t just say it, DO IT!

Nelly: Gosh Kang Chul ah…. *blushes*

Mari: I was annoyed by this. Again he does not know her! 

Me: And the room inspection begins. This is so embarrassing but at least he’ll get to know her better.

Nelly: I bet he sees her heart more and more…

Mari: Whydidshenotlockthedoor!!!

Me: Awww.. So sweet.. But I don’t think it’s ever possible for Yeon-Joo to forget you Kang Chul.

Nelly: She drew her dream man. I don’t think he will ever be forgotten. 

Mari: He can’t imagine her pain either! 

Me: Now that’s more like it, take it slow. We need to go slow.

Nelly: Oh Erl…. *blushes*

Mari: She loves him so much. I feel like I’m invading her privacy by looking at the way she looks at him. 

Me: I take it back, i take it back! I need more kisses!

Nelly: I must have been on different world but is this their first kiss since director’s cut?

Mari: I’m completely ok with this. 

Me: Please tell me you have a brilliant plan of your sleeves Kang Chul. Please.

Nelly: Just say it!

Mari: Mari is going to call out bs of the following plan!!! 

Me: I knew it! Here’s the answer I am looking for! Now I understand why their plan failed. The villain saw Writer Oh first!

Nelly: Writer Oh is so exposed! And now the villain is taking all the credit!

Mari: Makes no freaking sense! Why would Writer Oh be afraid of the killer? Kang Chul just tried to stab him & could not harm him! So why would the killer be able to harm him? That aside, her dad sucks!!!!

Me: Damn! Why would he promise something to the villain anyways?

Nelly: So the dream was nothing but the villain’s plan?

Mari: No, the plan was to get rid of Kang Chul & have the villain be the main character. When they reset the world, the villain did not go along with it. Why? Reasons! 

Me: That you did, now you have to make up for it. You need to fix things fast.

Nelly: Kang Chul 2.0 will clean up the mess. I’m sure of it. Hwaiting!

Mari: I voted we start all over, then we can think this out! 

Me: Attagirl Yeon-Joo! Speak your mind! Tell him it’s not fair.

Nelly: Well, she’s a big girl and no longer the comical Yeon Joo we saw in the beginning. I’m sure she can handle it all again. 

Mari: Love her! He does not understand that she’s the one that suffered alone. 

Me: At this point I’m really excited about Kang Chul’s plan. Did he see the connections of things?

Nelly: OMG he’s way smarter than Writer Oh! But first, let Soo Bong finish his ramen, first! Poor boy… always gets interrupted while eating his ramen *giggle*

Mari: *throws hand in air* what???!!?

Me: WOW! Just WOW! That’s all I can say.

Nelly: This is the coolest scene ever! How did he travel between W and real world? I need this ability so I can transport myself to stand next to Gummy! *sticks tongue out*

Mari: I give up!!! But I like his shirt! 

Me: YAY! He got him! YAY!

Nelly: *weak hooray* but THIS seems to be so easy, though!!! I’m skeptical! 

Mari: * sitting on couch with arms crossed* 

Me: Time to turn this show around sweetie; your turn Yeon-Joo.

Nelly: Yeah, I still don’t know how he can transport himself between the two worlds. Can someone care to explain this to me? I’m a bit slow!

Me: Is that what I think it is?

Nelly: What is it???

Mari: if you think it’s dead Kang Chul, you are right!!! Because!!!! Why not! Nothing else makes sense. 

Me: This is brilliant! But does that mean that he’s planning to stay in the real world?

Nelly: Yeon Joo, his pretend wife, is in real world. But this means he will be penniless. 

Mari: look! Hot, tall & hunky  puppy still here! Let me play with him. Distract me from this mess 

Me: It’s back! And look at that smile. He’s so happy to have his ring back.

Nelly: Your wish is my command, sire *wink*

Mari: mmmm this is just silly! That ring is not his! It’s Kang Chul 1!!

Me: It amazes me that now he can just go back and forth as he pleases.

Nelly: Right? And also scary! What if he lost control of himself and get transfer to W unknowingly? 

Mari: *still sitting on the couch with arms crossed* writer-nim we must talk. 

Me: Look at you being jealous of yourself. This so reminds me of The Moon That Embraces the Sun. LOL

Nelly: The new and improved Kang Chul. With better sizzles *giggle*

Mari: *full pout* 

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Me: Back to the sweet and I’m really loving Kang Chul 2.0. He’s more reasonable and logical than the first Kang Chul although they are one and the same. He has a clear grip of the situation, he’s not angsty and he’s out to find long-term solutions for him and for Yeon-Joo. Now that’s more like it.

Nelly: Yes and this time Kang Chul is calmer. He put a lot of thought before action. He was quite emotional before… I love Kang Chul more and more! 

Mari: Sorry for being such a Debbie Downer guys! But if you are completely going to change a story on me. I need at least a ray o logic! You can’t just mention words and hope I go along with it. So if you change your rules constantly, the story becomes pointless & a mess! If you are going to go full crazy at least let me have a shower scene so I can be distracted. 

 

W-Two Worlds: Fangirling Over Lipseu Episode 10

Me: We’re back with another episode and I seriously am lost. It seems all plans are just plans and nothing is to materialized especially if you put a suppressed in the midst of it.

Nelly: Sigh… I really don’t know what to say now. My brain went haywire!

Mari: I just want to take Oh YeonJoo out of this! My poor baby girl, she’s in so much pain! Also was anyone else annoyed by the fact that 15 mins of this show was a “previously on” segment? 

Me: We rewind to the night when the dad gives the villain his face. And that picture made an appearance again. I say foreshadowing.

Nelly: Foreshadowing it is… I thought he wanted to give the villain a meanie face! 

Mari:*laughing at Nelly unnie* yes definitely foreshadowing. He fought so much not to lose control & guess what’s about to happen?

Nelly: you know which meanie face I’m talking, right? *wink*

Me: Who would have thought. So dad did meet the killer before.

Nelly: I’ll say that again!!!! I can’t believe the villain likes his new face!

Mari: Well if you been faceless for 10 years. I think any face you get would be appreciated. Also, you have to remember the villain thinks they are some sort of soulmates. They both have the sane purpose. To destroy Kang Chul.

Me: OMG! This is not the right turn, this is not why they reset everything! NOOO!!!

Nelly: When he came out from that screen, I was startled big time! I did not see that coming! This is beyond words to describe exactly how the villain can cross two worlds like that!

Mari: I wish I did not read spoilers. I knew this scene was coming, so I was ready. But yeah, I want an explanation on how our villain knows he can do this.

Me: Poor Soo-bong. I freaked out a bit when I saw that too.

Nelly: Did he faint twice? I forgot!

Mari: I read somewhere that being scared so badly can give you gray hair. I expect SooBong to be given an agile head of gray now.

Nelly: This is where we need to reset the whole story again! The villain has a full control of Writer Oh! I’m speechless! 

Me: He did declare that they are one and the same and dad should follow orders but man, that is just so not the way I thought things would go. I need a reminder, which side is up?

Mari: Why is No face writer listening to him? Is the villain magically controlling him? Or did he promise him not to touch Oh Yeon Joo?

Me: At this point, I’m seriously questioning how the heck can Kang Chul go against this guy who has a portal to anywhere he pleases and can have anything, ANYTHING he wants by just saying the words? This is going to be so tough.

Nelly: Poor Kang Chul has no effing clue what the villain is talking about! I still need to know where he is going, though! 

Mari: No Kang Chul knows what crazy face stealer is talking about. He just does not know his reasons. Like why is he showing up after hiding for 10 years? Why is the violence necessary?  Also, the door was probably done by no face dad.

Me: Here’s an efficient way to know things are going batshit – let’s watch the news. And that’s why I personally don’t watch news that much. I mean, just look at Yeon-Joo. Take a really good look.

Nelly: This must be a hard watch for Yeon Joo! If I’m the superhero in this manhwa, it will be hard to kill a villain that looks like my dad. 

Mari: yeah, mostly because she has no clue how to get out of the manhwa & stop it.

Nelly: I’m still confused with this part of the story. Did Writer Oh create Assemblyman Han character to be the one that hired the villain to kill Kang Chul’s family? But what was his purpose of this killing? And wait, that was in the beginning before all the mess and now what is the purpose of his existence? Yeap, I’m truly confused and lost. Do I sound gibberish? I think I am *laughs*

Mari: In the original story, Assemblyman truly believed Kang Chul was the killer. In the reboot (happy ending version) he used the deaths to further his career. He was a rising prosecutor and the trial of a famous Olympic athlete would get him the publicity and attention he needed. So yes he set it up so that evidence would be found to incriminate Kang Chul. He also did not know who the real killer was.

Me: I agree with Mari, he doesn’t know who the killer is but he insisted it was Kang Chul so he could rise to power and now that the real killer is out of the proverbial bag, he’s in deep trouble.

Mari: I love that Korea is totally ok with having an alcoholic beverage in a juice box. What happens if you keep this in your fridge & your little one grabs one?  Also, I’m also crying. Her pain is my pain now! I haven’t even mentioned that he lookmajesticic in a white button up shirt!

Nelly: Excuse me, I got dust in my eyes. *blows nose*

Me: Right Mari, alcohol in a box. Whoever invented that is a genius! And I’m sure your little one will be knock out cold for the whole day if he/she drinks that. Unlike Nelly, I’m sweating through my eyes. yeah, this is sweat. Cause I’m having an emotional workout with Yeon-joo.

Nelly: I wonder when will someone catch on to her. My workplace is huge and I do see unfamiliar face in the office. 

Me: My question exactly! I mean don’t they have CCTV or something around? Hmmm…

Mari: dear hospital…. You need better security.

Me: Dear Yeon-joo, please make it a habit to wear something with a pocket, and make sure to put some money. It’s heartbreaking to see you eat side dishes. Okay, please consider it kiddo.

Mari: The scene where Kang Chul & his crew walk in and she just stares at them. *cries*

Nelly: le sigh. I feel lonely just watching her like this. And look at her sad expression… 

Nelly: Are you kidding me? I know this is the last resort but… But this is suicide!!! 

Mari: I thought this was a great idea. It’s been days now, imagine how tired & hungry she is.

Me: Right Mari, it was awesome! She’s just gonna eat and then leave, how long would that take?

Me: And of course she’ll go for instant. Thank heavens for instant food. Ramen. I wish there’s cheese.

Nelly: Don’t forget the eggs, Yeon Joo!!!! 

Mari: Ramen!!! Yummy yummy!!!

Me: Of all the rotten timing, seriously! Just let the girl eat! She’s hungry! And I think I’m disturbed cause I think that pic is really cute.

Nelly: I mean, he knows her by now yet still want to call the police? Are you trying to waste the taxpayers’ money, Kang Chul? Wait… Don’t tell me he owns the city! By the way, nice mugshot! 

Mari: Sure, he just happened to be running an errand for his secretary? Also how does he now know her passcode when in previous world he did not? Also it makes sense that he calls the police. After the attemp on his life & the shooting in his station. How can he trust a stranger in his personal secretary’s apartment? She is a stranger to him.

Nelly: I think he was on the phone with her. So clearly she gave him her home passcode. 

Mari: I love that even when he can’t remember her, he can’t help himself but being nice to her. He is pulled to her by something, no? Look at how tender he is towards her!

Nelly: Oh God, all I see is Kang Chul’s lips! I’m sorry but that lips are so kissable right now!

Me: Lips, glorious lips, I just want to kiss them. LOL. Sorry, got distracted. This tenderness though is not working. Not helping at all. Why the reset if they’re gonna end up like this again?

Me: Finally! I knew she’s gonna have that breakdown sooner than later. Let it out girl, just let it all out!

Nelly: See? This is why she keeps popping back. It’s because she can’t let go of him! Didn’t he tell her to forget him? 

Mari: maybe, maybe not. She technically has no reason to be thrown back in manhwa. No one knows who she is in the reset.

Me: This is, yeah. It’s almost the same thing as what happened BR (before reset.) He takes matter with his own hands.

Nelly: I knew it! He owns the city *laughs*

Mari: He just can’t let her go, it must be driving him crazy that he can’t explain why.

Mari: Never ever is it a good outcome for our hero if our two villains join forces.

Me: This is scary, like my worst nightmare. Unless Assemblyman Han turns out to be like Snape but I can’t even picture that happening.

Nelly: I am, once again, confused and lost by these two. Is Assemblyman Han under the villain’s order now? 

Mari: pay attention unnie! Crazy face stealer just called Assemblyman Han to make him an offer he can’t refuse. 

Me: This is like Avatar, only the Avatar looks snake-like or something.

Nelly: All of a sudden, Voldermort came to mind!!! OMGosh! 

Mari: because you mentioned He Who Must Not be Named!

Nelly: Holy crap, what is this are we hearing??? I am as shocked as Kang Chul! This is messed up, people! Messed up!

Mari: I’m actually extremely impressed with Crazy face stealers plan. This is the best way to destroy Kang Chul. How can Kang Chul fight this?

Me: I seriously do not have any idea how Kang Chul would counter this one Mari. It’s so brilliantly planned that I can’t help but be impressed and scared at the same time.

Mari: ahjussi!!!!! We hardly knew thee! Also Frak! The villain in good! Even includes the gun!

Nelly: I need an oxygen mask now! I can’t breathe! This is just frak! 

Me: NO FAIR!!! I CALL FOUL!! And I need a time out. Fudge!! This gives a new meaning to “turning tables.”

Mari: I have no better plan.

Nelly: I’m still in shock! That recorded conversation came out of nowhere! 

Me: I assume they can not fly out of the country too, right? What to do? What to do?

Nelly: Now he looks like a vampire! 

Mari: They are both in crappy situations. Only have each other to rely on. I’m so happy she’s not a whinny idiot. She’s going to do everything she can to help him.

Me: She’s a different kind of princess since day one. She’s gung-ho and compassionate, quick on her feet. Definitely not whiny and Kang Chul is really lucky to have her to rely on.

Me: Yes dear, the plan failed. Regroup, regroup, regroup!

Nelly: Yeap, the story takes a big turn, Yeon Joo! No U-turn, no turning left or right, not moving forward or back either. The villain magically create a new route! I wonder what will she do next!

Mari: See my comment above

Erl: The first question that came to mind is: why is the parking lot empty? But then it can be that it’s a workday and people don’t really go on hotels during those days but hey, what do I know?

Nelly: Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! 

Mari: This is such a tv show! Why was there no people around? Empty elevator! Also you guys are leaving a blood trail!

Me: He might die because of blood lost or something, that’s the only thing that I can think of.

Nelly: I am really bothered by the pillow cases! It is so ahjumma taste! 

Mari: Did you see the walls? They look dirty. This is not a fancy penthouse. How does she plan to get the bullet out of him in this hotel?

Nelly: OMG since when she got so daring??? 

Me: Since she’s desperately needing  to save his life, that’s when. I’m with you girl. Save your man!

Mari: Can you imagine her pain! She has to leave him behind while he is injured. She’s probably dying a little as she kissed him. I honestly love her now!

Me: And it worked, thank heavens! Now move, there’s not much time!

Nelly: And how long were she gone for now?

Mari: His tear! Her touching her lips. This show wants to break my heart!

Final Thoughts

Me: This episode is just mind blowing. But again with the unanswered questions, it’s filing up! I got a few answers and a ton of questions in return! I don’t know which way is up or down anymore. And all because of the villain that got neglected and became self aware. I thought things will be better with the reset but nope, apparently it’s not happening. How do they fix this now? HOW?

Nelly: My thoughts? Not sure if I have any! This episode has turned me upside down, inside out! This is the winning episode for the villain! The antagonist wins it all! I’m worried what would happen next! She’s back now and who’s going to take care of injured Chul? The mommy in me cannot sit still now. Oy… 

Mari: They waited to long, gave the villain too much time to plot! I wish I could say I completely get what’s going on. I can’t, I don’t think the writer knows either. While many things make sense if you think about them. Lots of them don’t. Like how did both Kang Chul & Crazy face stealer came to be? How is CFS controlling Writer Oh? Why does Oh YeonJoo keep getting call back to Manhwa world when no one remembers her? Why does Kang Chul only cry one beautiful tear?? We want answers!

W-Two Worlds: Fangirling Over Lipseu Episode 7

Erl: We’re back and we’re in for another bumpy and surprising ride. At this point, I stopped thinking anything is going to be relatively mellow with this drama. It has the element of surprise in spades that even if  you think that you’ve got a clear grasp of the cause and effect; you’re still at a disadvantage cause it can sneak up on you anytime. You’ll never know when it would tilt the whole table in the opposite direction which is fun and definitely keeps you on your toes.  Not to mention somewhat aggravating but all in a good way, so good that you’ll be wishing the next episode comes sooner than expected.

Me: I am hoping for a Healer pace! I want it to be more action… You think we will get it? 

Me: We back up a little bit and gets the explanation about the real creator of W.

Mari: So everyone was right! How did I completely missed the fact that Oh YeonJoo was drawing a version of Kang Chul as a child?

Nelly: Sorry, ladies. I must be dreaming. Younger YeonJoo in previous episode and current doesn’t match. Am I crazy? And Mari, it was obvious when her parents were quarreling and she was in tears with a drawing of Kang Chul on her desk.

Me: And now I see why Kang Chul is dreamy, a teenager created him!

Nelly: Would you like to see my dreamy fantasy character in my manhwa? *giggle* He’s so very handsome, too! And tall! 

Mari: I want to draw my own boyfriend! But I’m afraid that teen me & current me have very different taste. We only agree that they have to be male. Also, 185 cm is my perfect (favorite?) height.

Me: I think the tall part is a requirement for every teenager’s dream boy. Back then I like tall boys, around 182cm to 187cm. Well, those were the days.

Me: You can really see Yeon-Joo’s determination to save him, I mean man haven’t had that big a blister on my hand from holding a pen for a long time.

Mari: blisters hurt! She’s working through the pain to get him back. He better appreciates her work. Also how long do you guys think she was drawing for? All the blisters I gotten on my hands took less than half an hour.

Nelly: Hmm is it that bad? I haven’t had blisters in years. But did you see her drawing? I don’t like how she drew Kang Chul! I need him to be perfect! *angry fan*

Me:  I agree Nell, we want him to be perfect. She’ll nail it eventually. And hey, looky, I think she just did. Her efforts weren’t futile, he’s back – they’re back inside W!

Nelly: Yup, I was so happy that they made it back! 

Mari: She’s so happy to be back in jail, lol. Look at his hands they are still scaring. So the story is acknowledging that he really left the manhwa?

Nelly: Now would that be in the manhwa? I mean, if we are to read it now, do we actually see that he entered our world and went back to W? 

Me: That’s a good question Nell, and one that we will have to wait answers for. For now let’s digest how worried Kang Chul’s staff is about him, and how all he wants to do is speed walks out to meet Yeon-Joo!

Nelly: Heh, he’s in love. I would do the same too. 

Mari: ugh, she’s here! Go away! I guess I should like her for not thinking Kang Chul tried to kill himself. As for the bodyguard… Pretty!

Nelly: The bodyguard is hot! I just want to run my hand over his shoulder… Hmm.

Mari: he does have excellent shoulders! I like your idea. 

Me: Of course he needs an explanation, he always needs an explanation!

Mari: Are we ignoring the fact that one tiny girl has a ridiculous police escort? How rich is Kang Chul? I’m going to assume he is Bruce Wayne rich in W.  Because a normal person stopping a police car in that fashion would be in jail. Also yes!! I’m here for the sweet romance! I’m ok with your choice of genre Oh YeonJoo.

Nelly: I agree, that is a ridiculous amount of taxpayers’ money to escort her in that massive prison bus! Oh Mari, Kang Chul and Bruce Wayne… *bats lashes*. 

Me: Sad to see the world, people and everything about you know about the same way once you know the truth. Gives a different meaning to “the truth will set you free.” It sort of sounds like the truth can torture  you…

Nelly: I’m not sure if I can breathe… The truth is hard to swallow. 

Mari: Basically how do you keep on functioning when you know you are not real?

Me: But not likely the way Yeon-Joo’s being tortured the second time around.

Nelly: Did you see her expression? She can’t even pull a straight face!

Mari: I would either burst into tears or hysterical laughing. This cop is very cartoonish. I was expecting a fire to come out of his head. 

Me: I am as surprised as Yeon-Joo when Kang Chul reproached her. After being so tender the night before, what is possessing you now? What’s keeping your panties in a twist?

Nelly: Your “panties in a twist” remark got me laughing so hard, Erl! But yeah, I’m with you. What the hell, Kang Chul? What the eff are you talking about? Do you really want to die? Is it the truth too hard to bear now? 

Mari: I’m with him on this. What is he? Since he is not real does that mean he no longer has a free will? What’s the purpose of his life if he is not hunting his family’s killer. He finally made a decision on his own, and Oh YeonJoo took his choice away. 

Me: See, you’re not so tough after all Kang Chul! I know that’s a tear rolling down your cheek!

Nelly: For the first time, I wanted to slap his pretty face! He was acting so irrational! This isn’t him at all! 

Mari:look at his skin!!! So beautiful!

Me: *Melting right now, mind can’t think..*

Nelly: In the back of my mind, I wonder if his breath smells better! Sorry, I’m a party pooper. Jong Suk smokes!

Mari: so…. How does she go back in this time? Is it like the time in the ocean? Is it really that he was thinking of her & that brought her back? 

Me: *Still melting, possibly a puddle by now*

Nelly: *grabs Dexter and kisses him and pretending that he is Kang Chul* urgh, I got hair in my mouth!

Mari: I love the handcuffs over his head for more comfortable kissing. 

Me: Next thing we know she get’s a visit from Do-Yoon. He was sent to relay a message. And I seriously almost spit my coffee when I heard it.

Nelly: Why didn’t she pick option 4??? *shakes head* It was so obvious what Kang Chul wants! Now it is not the time to play innocent, doc!

Mari:I said this on Twitter my heart wants 4! But my brain would pick number 1. My brain is boring…

Me: I think I’ll go for number 4. LOL. And the decision is all because of what he is wearing. That should go! NOW!

Nelly: She clearly wants option 4! Even her hands said so, too! *laughs* 

Mari: there are clothes not even he can save… This suit is one of those pieces that’s a no!!!

Me: Yes, Sir, he’s really gonna be married with Yeon-Joo.

Nelly: This exit plan… Forget the plan, Kang Chul’s suit is more disturbing at the moment!!!!! 

Mari: I guess having money makes things easy, but in RL I doubt netizens would let this go so easily. 

Me: Not in fifty years netizens won’t! There’s gonna be blood. LOL. I love how Yeon-Joo’s just nodding away while this is all happening. What a turn of event!

Nelly: And the ring is so modest looking. I approve! 

Mari: Why is the bodyguard doing all the work? Where’s Kang Chul? Wait is this going to be THAT type or relationship??!!! I’m kidding! I’m kidding ignore me!!!!

Me: Not gonna happen Mari, you can’t be ignored. It does look off that someone else is giving a wedding ring by proxy but.. Well, he’s rich and she just had a big leap. From being chased and jailed to being the CEO’s wife. Whirlwind!

Nelly: It’s been my dream, actually… *grin*. Can someone call me ma’am, now? 

Mari: I would love to have someone does my cleaning. But my house is tiny. I need a bigger house! 

Me: Yeon-Joo needs to think of locking the door first before checking a drawer of underwear…

Nelly: I was giggling with her terribly! I am glad she didn’t smell his underwear… She is, after all, infatuated with him!

Mari: he does not look like a boxers type. His pants are too skinny for boxers. Also, I would had looked in my shoe closet first. 

Me: I think I’m with Kang Chul here, how is tying the hair sweet? I’m really distracted, though, that illustration reminds me of a Chinese Novel I read… Wow, what are the odds?

Nelly: I screamed so hard on this scene! This is my fantasy!!! I want my man to tie my hair, too!!!! Also, where can I get that book??? 

Mari: I don’t get this hair thing. I love playing with guys hair but I never ever had a guy “fix” mine. Yet I have seen it a lot in Kdramas. It’s a bit odd to me. 

Me: RAWR! More fun times.

Nelly: Oh, I can’t. Kang Chul is the man of the hour now!!! Can I have an order of Kang Chul with a side of Kang Chul, please? 

Mari: Do I start my rant now or enjoy the cute? 

Me: Yeah, I would completely like it too if I was married to that cutie.

Nelly: When I saw the ring on his long, long finger… *fans self*

Mari: weirdos! 

Me: Now this is sweet. Where can I buy a copy of this book? And God, I can’t with this two. My cheeks are on fire!

Nelly: When he bit his lower lips… I was so dead! Yes, I need this book now!!! 

Mari: dammit the lip biting again.. Sigh* 

Me: But sadly that’s the end of fun times since Kang Chul needs to meet Do-Yoon. What could be the problem?

Nelly: Talk about timing! 

Mari: I’ll take care of Do-Yoon. You can stay and continue to fangirl. 

Me: I was not expecting that. Who is this disembodied voice from nowhere?

Nelly: I know, right??? Like I said previously, is this a manhwa in another manhwa? The only way I could think is this voice came from the creator. Whoever that is! Or I could be hallucinating. Either way, this voice is disturbing on so many levels! Why is it appear when he’s alone? 

Mari: who is this? I have several theories I was shooting out into Twitter world. Who is it? 

Me: Does this mean that because So-Hee is now a minor part of Kang Chul’s body, she’s now obsolete? I kind of feel sad for her.

Nelly: At first, I thought she came from our world. But now I’m with you, Erl. She’s getting written out of the story… Goodbye, So Hee. I will miss your fancy clothes and shoes. That’s all. 

Mari: So that’s what happens to fictional characters when their arcs finish. 

Me: And you say she’s manipulating you. You’re completely in love with her buddy, all on your own accord!

Nelly: I shall feed him chilies for traumatizing her with his cruel accusation! She is the real deal! Her feeling is so genuine! She created him with lots of love!

Mari: Are we ready for my rant yet? 

Me: Culprit guys means business. And now I’m dying to know about him!

Nelly: I know!!!! Who the eff he is??? My mind is wild, right now? Could it be him from the future? That is my stupid wild mind that said it! Don’t mind me! 

Mari: Is he planning to shoot the letters? 

Final Thoughts

Me: I loved this episode! The big leap, the clarification. And I kind of thought that the focus on “romance” is just temporary, but I love that they got it out of the way. I mean I am glad that they cleared that they are really into each other. Now I was expecting Kang Chul to feel like he’s being toyed because since knowing that he’s a manhwa character, it sort of opened his mind that he has no free will. But knowing that it was all an act of love from Yeon-Joo’s point of view makes a lot of difference. There’s a genuine feeling established there and not just manipulation.

I was at the edge of my seat when the disembodied voice from somewhere mentioned about Kang Chul’s family’s murder mostly because Yeon-Joo’s dad mentioned that there’s no culprit and then this? Makes me want Kang Chul to go back and confront Yeon-Joo’s dad again, without the gun this time.

Nelly: I took my time with catching up on this episode because I wanted to have a clear mind. I’m glad I did. So many developments in this episode. I’m glad that they spill their own feelings in their own ways… The exit plan was a bit too much, though. It is so unrealistic even to her but she went with it anyway and so am I.

I am now curious on this Assasin’s Creed dude. He’s Kang Chul’s worse nightmare. He is Kang Chul’s own demon! He took all of Kang Chul’s happiness and now want to take Yeon Joo away from him. 

Mari: I both loved and hated this episode. Yes, that’s possible. I love it as a fan girl that completely wants to ship the OTP. I disliked it as a person that thinks too much. Mainly because Kang Chul’s change from indignation to adorable man in love was too fast. Mostly because Oh YeonJoo is writing the comic now. She’s madly in love with him. So how can we be sure that what he is feeling is real and not her feelings being transposed to him? Does he have no free will now? The only thing that’s keeping happy is that he already cared for her before she took over. 

That kiss on the roof was part of the goodbye kiss, part I find you interesting and unique. Also, she’s been pulled into the manhwa twice now while neither her or dad are drawing. She briefly mentioned in prison that she came back because he was thinking about her. 

Lastly, who is the hooded figure? Is he really faceless? Did writer Oh also create him & give him life like he did to Kang Chul? So now the killer is just a phantom that can exist in both worlds? So many questions! 

Me: Yes, my heart can’t take it, too! 

Stalking: Wallace Huo

Okay, this is making me a bit nervous. Kinda weird but this is the first time that I am going to do something like this and nonetheless a guest post. Surprising, really surprising! I am Erl btw, and I’m “invading” my dear friend’s “house” to shamelessly admit that I am stalking someone. Seriously though, I’ve never considered myself as a stalker, well maybe just “borderline” but I’ve never crossed that line. Until Wallace Huo that is.

I can still remember how it all started and I have to admit I’ve known about him from a long time. I say from a long time because *ehem* Dolphin Bay *ehem* oh and 100% Señorita. But back to how the stalking started. My good friend and enabler Nelly recommended his current drama Love Me If You Dare and being me, after a few days of “trying” to resist, I gave in. And now here I am.

Honestly, what is not to love about Wallace Huo Jian Hua? I mean look:
